Modern Day Slavery Policy Statement

Last updated June 2025

Introduction

This statement is published in line with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It outlines the steps taken by Activate Group Ltd and its subsidiaries to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chain.

This statement has been prepared in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and is our annual modern slavery and human trafficking statement.

Our business and supply chain

Activate Group and its subsidiaries provide end-to-end accident management solutions to insurers, fleet providers, TPAs and brokers.  The Group provides claims management to corporate and commercial fleets through sopp+sopp, operates an approved nationwide repair network for personal lines insurance claims through Motor Repair Network, supplies next-day parts and consumables through Activate Parts and autobody repair through Activate Accident Repair. Based in the UK, Activate Group employs more than 850 people, with two main offices in Halifax and Peterborough and repair centres across the UK.

To deliver these services, we work with a network of suppliers, including repair providers, hire companies and recovery agents in the UK.

Our Policy and Controls

Modern slavery — including slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking — is a crime and a serious violation of human rights.

sopp+sopp has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We are committed to maintaining effective systems and controls to prevent it in our business and supply chain.

We are dedicated to acting with integrity, fairness, and transparency in all business relationships. We expect the same high standards from our suppliers and partners.

Team Member Policies and Practices

All team members are required to follow our internal policies that help prevent modern slavery risks. These include:

  • Whistleblowing Policy

  • Disciplinary Policy

  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy

  • Conflicts of Interest Policy

  • Modern Slavery Policy

Any changes to these policies are communicated internally and team members are required to read and acknowledge such changes. Updated mandatory training is provided if necessary.

We have processes in place to support these policies, including:

  • Pre-employment checks: All recruitment follows a structured process with the necessary background checks.

  • Pay and reward: We apply consistent, fair pay practices across the business.

  • Labour monitoring: We monitor how labour is used to ensure fair treatment.

  • Induction: All new team members receive training on our policies and expectations.

  • Policy access: Key policies are stored centrally, and team members confirm they have read and understood them.

  • Training: Mandatory online training helps team members understand modern slavery and recognise warning signs.

  • Community involvement: We continue to strengthen our corporate social responsibility by supporting local communities.

Supply Chain Oversights

We understand the importance of working only with suppliers who share our commitment to preventing modern slavery.

  • All suppliers undergo a structured selection process that includes financial and business checks.

  • We carry out an onboarding audit for new suppliers to assess their compliance with our standards.

  • All suppliers must comply with relevant laws, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and this is detailed in their contract with us.

  • We perform regular audits to assess supplier compliance and manage any risks.

The directors at Activate Group have oversight of the modern slavery risk management and review and update this statement on an annual basis in line with the latest government guidance.

The Activate Group has an Environmental, Social and Governance Committee chaired by its People Director.  This Committee is responsible for reviewing and monitoring the modern slavery risks within the Group’s supply chain.  The Group’s ESG compliance is audited on an annual basis by external auditors.

Continuous Improvements

Since our last annual statement, we have introduced the ESG committee within the Group’s governance structure to allow more detailed analysis of our supply chain and the identification and management of modern slavery risks.

As part of our ongoing commitment to this issue, we plan to:

  • Regularly review and update our policies to ensure modern slavery risks are effectively addressed.

  • Further develop our supplier assessment process to help identify and manage higher-risk suppliers.

  • Continue improving our training programme to increase awareness across the business.
