sopp+sopp’s Green Parts solution helps fleet avoid 26 tonnes of CO₂e in six months

sopp+sopp’s green parts solution, powered by Activate Parts, has helped one of our fleet customers avoid more than 26 tonnes of carbon emissions in just six months.

Between January and June 2026, the initiative delivered 99 confirmed Green Parts orders in place of new OE or aftermarket components, avoiding 26,025kg of CO₂e.

The emissions saving is equivalent to the energy use of three homes for an entire year, highlighting the potential impact that sustainable parts sourcing can have when embedded into fleet repair strategies.

Green Parts are an increasingly important part of sopp+sopp’s approach to reducing the cost and environmental impact of vehicle repairs. Through our sister company Activate Parts, sopp+sopp customers have access to a range of quality-assured green OE components, which are sourced and dispatched directly to repairers across our network.

As well as helping to reduce the carbon footprint associated with repairs, Green Parts can deliver significant financial benefits, with customers typically receiving around 40–45% savings at purchase compared with equivalent new parts.

The approach extends to parts recovered from customers’ own vehicles. sopp+sopp works with customers to store usable parts removed from their vehicles, providing cost-free access to those parts when replacements are required. Where parts already carry the correct colour scheme or livery, repairers can also avoid additional preparation and painting work, further reducing repair costs and turnaround times.

sopp+sopp’s team also works closely with third parties to promote greater understanding of the safety, quality and benefits of Green Parts, helping to increase their use across third-party repairs while supporting faster, more cost-effective outcomes.

“More than 26 tonnes of CO₂e avoided in six months is a significant achievement particularly when combined with the associated cost savings.
By looking at where parts come from, how they are sourced and how salvage can be reused, we’re helping our customers make every repair more cost-effective and sustainable.

The results from the first six months of 2026 demonstrate how a more considered approach to parts sourcing and salvage can deliver tangible benefits across the fleet repair lifecycle.

sopp+sopp remains committed to helping customers maximise the value of every repair, combining people-led accident management, technology and smarter parts sourcing to create more sustainable and cost-effective fleet repair strategies.
