Sopp and Sopp Privacy Notice

 

At Sopp and Sopp we believe in making things easy for our customers, so we have aimed to make our privacy policy clear, simple and easy to read. 

This policy explains how we will use your personal data. 

Sopp and Sopp are committed to protecting your privacy.  We will always keep your information safe and will never sell it to any third party. 

We will be open honest and transparent about why we are collecting your personal information and how we will use it. 

Throughout this policy we/Sopp and Sopp means companies with the AGL Group who Sopp and Sopp are a part of.  We may share your personal information within this group to handle complaints and queries and to improve our customer service.

Collecting Information

What information will Sopp and Sopp collect from you?

Were we collect information from you directly this will be limited to the following;

  • your name, address and contact details, including email address and telephone number, date of birth and gender. 
  • There may be rare occasions where we will ask you to provide bank account details if we need to make a payment to you.  In this instance we would gain your authority to do so and confirm where and how that data would be stored and for how long before we collected the data. 

We may be contracted by a supplier to process your data inorder to deal with your claim for vehicle repairs.   If that is the case we will have been given their legal consent to do so. 

Why do we need to collect or have access to your data?

For us to process your and manage your repair we will need this information, in order that we can contact you and keep you updated.  We cannot fulfil that process without it.

Sharing your information outside of the Sopp and Sopp group

Who we may transfer it to;

We share your information with contracted companies that provide services for us, such as repairers, vehicle recovery agents and possibly hire providers.  We will only share your data with those companies that we need to in order to complete the processing of the claim.  We will have assessed these companies in advance in order to establish that they are able to provide the necessary level of care and security for your data.

We may share your personal information with third parties where required or permitted by law.  If we believe we need to do so to protect our rights or to comply with legal proceedings.  In such cases we will always do so legally and with regard to your privacy.

How long will we keep your information?

To fulfil our obligations to regulatory organisations or similar bodies we will need to retain your data for a period after your claim is processed.  We will always store it securely and will not use it for any other purpose.
